We are extremely disappointed to have to announce the cancellation of the Bournemouth and Poole Convention for 2020.

Due to the government restrictions currently in place because of Covid 19, the Convention Committee felt that it was right to cancel the Convention. Since it seems likely that some form of restriction will still be going on in early July, “Gathering the Churches”, which is one of our aims, will not be possible.

God willing, we plan to hold the Convention from 5th-9th July 2021. Speakers and venues are already booked for this. If you would like more information please contact us either by email or mobile phone.

series on the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5-7.
Charles has been the Senior Pastor of The Peoples Church in Toronto, Canada, and continues to have an international ministry, having preached in over one hundred countries on six continents around the world. He is the author of seven
books, some of which have been translated into other languages.

Adrian Reynolds - "THE MINISTRY GRID" – “Training Made Simple.

For our Leaders Day Seminar in 2019 on Tuesday 2nd July we are delighted that Adrian Reynolds the Training Director for the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches has agreed to share his experience of establishing leadership training in a ‘local” church.

Church leadership is a colossal responsibility. There are so many initiatives, people and problems that jostle for the limited resources available. When tough decisions need to be made it can be easier to consign training to the list of things to jettison.

Adrian Reynolds argues that training isn’t just important, but that it is actually a biblical mandate essential to the goal of becoming more like Jesus. With “The Grid” he provides an easy-to-use practical tool that will help you to think through where your church is currently at, where you need to get to, and how you’ll get there.

The secret to spiritual contentment is not to desire more from God but to appreciate what we already have. The three talks are likely to include 1. Chosen & Adopted 2. Redeemed, Forgiven & Enlightened and 3. Included & Sealed. (Sequence and pairings yet to be finalised)

"Maintaining Spiritual Reality" More information re July 2019
We can now disclose more information about the evening sessions at the Bournemouth Citygate Centre in July 2019.

As previously announced Dr Charles Price is returning to our south coast convention and his subject matter this time is drawn from the Old Testament and from 1 Samuel.  Under the banner heading of "Maintaining Spiritual Reality".

Charles will be looking at events from the lives of Eli, Samuel, Saul and David, with practical lessons about sliding from a wholesome relationship with God, and the antidote to that. His topic looks at the relevancy of Israel's transition from a theocracy to a monarchy, and the revelation of God through these changes.

Charles wants to make sure Christians are still "plugged into the power!" For those who want to revitalize their spiritual life, these talks will break new ground to empower the lives that are led in the presence of God. He uncovers spiritual principles from stories in the books of Samuel.  He will set out to teach us to hear God's voice and experience Him in our daily lives and circumstances.

So, don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to hear him again and make sure you leave that first week of July clear in your diaries and plans.

You can read more about Dr Charles Price on our speaker’s page on this site.
Dr Charles Price to preach from the Old Testament Summer 2019
Dr Charles Price to preach from the Old Testament Summer 2019
It was three years ago in 2015 that summer convention relocated to the spacious and modern Citygate Centre close to the Bournemouth rail and bus centres. As our first speaker at our new home we were delighted to welcome Dr Charles Price the globally popular preacher and author.

He was our keynote speaker or the five evenings at Citygate and spoke for us from Matthew chapters five, six and seven under the banner heading of “Being the Christian you have Become”. Many still recall that convention and the powerful preaching we all enjoyed and benefited from.

So we are extremely glad that Charles has accepted our invitation to return once again he will be our evening summer speaker at Citygate for the week of Monday the 1st to Friday the 5th July 2019.

This time around Dr Price will preach from the Old Testament the books of Samuel.  The title of his topics will be announced in the New Year but you can be sure these five evenings are not to be missed.

A snapshot biography of Charles is available on our summer speaker’s page. Although retired the pastorate of the People’s Church in Toronto he is now officially ”Minister at Large” for the People’s Church and is visited and preached in over 100 countries from the Shetlands in the UK and frequently in Australia.  Watch this space for further news.
